1. When do I get my pet groomed for the first time?
Officially it is best to wait until your new puppy is 8-weeks old, and can leave their mother before you consider getting them groomed. Once the puppy has been introduced to its new home and has established relations with the new owner they can think about getting the puppy groomed. We recommend starting at 12-weeks of age. www.halifaxhumanesociety.org
2. Can I watch?
This is not recommended as an ongoing practice because sometimes pets are more anxious and misbehave in the presence of their owners. Sometimes your help is appreciated with very large or very elderly pets.
3. Will my pet be washed in cold water?
No, the mobile salon is fully equipped and has an on demand hot water heater that provides plenty of warm water for many baths.
4. Which shampoo do you use?
We use specially formulated shampoos and conditioner which are hypoallergenic, environmentally friendly, are soap-free, cruelty free and 100% biodegradable.
5. Do you have to plug in?
Our van is fully equipped with power source and water supply. However, this could vary depending on the length of the appointment and the service requested. We'll plug in only with owner's approval if necessary.
6. How should I prepare my pet for grooming?
Please let them go potty before mobile pet grooming arrives. Also don’t feed them within an hour or so (because then they will need to go potty). For cats it is recommended that you put them in a carrier or in a small room so they don’t run under the bed or couch when the doorbell rings.
NOTE: If the dog takes any medication please let the groomer know when schedule the appointment.
