1. When should I get my pet groomed for the first time?
It’s best to wait until your puppy is at least 8 weeks old before considering grooming. At this age, puppies can typically leave their mother and begin adjusting to their new home. However, we recommend starting professional grooming at 12 weeks of age to ensure your puppy is fully comfortable and ready for the experience. Early grooming helps them get accustomed to the process and reduces anxiety in the future.
2. Can I watch the grooming process?
While we understand your curiosity, pets often behave differently when their owners are present. They can become more anxious or excited, making the process more challenging. For your pet’s comfort and safety, we recommend allowing the groomer to work without distractions. However, in special cases (e.g., senior or nervous pets), your presence may be helpful.
3. Will my pet be washed in cold water?
Absolutely not. Our mobile salon is equipped with an on-demand hot water system, ensuring your pet is bathed in warm, comfortable water every time. We prioritize your pet’s comfort throughout the grooming process.
4. What kind of shampoo do you use?
We use professional-grade shampoos and conditioners that are:
Hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin.
Environmentally friendly and biodegradable.
Free of harsh chemicals, soap, and cruelty.
If your pet has specific skin conditions or allergies, let us know so we can tailor the products to their needs.
5. Do you need to plug in at my home?
Our mobile grooming van is fully self-sufficient, with its own power source and water supply. In rare cases, if the appointment is particularly long or involves additional services, we may ask for permission to plug in as a backup.
6. How should I prepare my pet for grooming?
To ensure a smooth experience:
For dogs: Let them go potty before the appointment. Avoid feeding them right before grooming to minimize discomfort.
For cats: Place them in a carrier or confined space to make them easier to access. This prevents them from hiding when the groomer arrives.
Medications: If your pet takes any medication, inform the groomer when booking the appointment.
7. Do you groom cats?
Yes, we provide grooming services for cats, including baths, brushing, nail trims, and de-shedding treatments. Cats are typically more sensitive to grooming, so we take extra care to ensure they feel safe and comfortable.
8. Do you offer flea or tick treatments?
Yes, we offer flea and tick treatments as an add-on service. If you suspect your pet has fleas or ticks, please inform us in advance so we can prepare and ensure your pet receives the appropriate treatment
9. Can you accommodate large breeds or thick-coated dogs?
Absolutely! Our van is equipped to handle pets of all sizes, including large breeds and those with heavy coats. For very large or double-coated dogs, the grooming session may take a bit longer.
10. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept a variety of payment methods, including cash, credit cards, Zelle, cashapp and Venmo. Payment details will be confirmed during the booking process.
11. What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
We understand that plans can change. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee, depending on the circumstances.
12. Do you handle de-matting?
Yes, we offer de-matting services for pets with tangled or matted fur. However, this service may incur an additional fee depending on the severity of the matting and the time required to safely remove it. Severe matting that causes discomfort may require shaving the affected areas to avoid unnecessary stress or pain for your pet. We’ll discuss the best approach with you before proceeding.
13. Is mobile grooming more expensive than traditional salons?
Mobile grooming may have slightly higher rates due to the convenience of personalized, one-on-one service at your doorstep. It eliminates the need for travel, reduces stress for your pet, and saves you time.
